Dear Friend,
I've been a Husker fan since 1968. I remember that because I was in the National
Guard with Van Bronson's uncles and Tom Osborne had just opened up the offense. I was
hooked! Of course, living in Iowa, getting tickets was always a problem.
In 1977, I was able to move to Lincoln and I have lived here ever since, sitting in Secs 6
& 106. There is nothing better than being at a Nebraska home game! I also
make it to most of the away games.
In 1987 I opened up R.P. Myre's Sportspage Bar & Grill located in the Haymarket behind
Barry's. I enjoyed this until 1995 when I sold it to Lincoln City Councilman Jerry
Shoecraft. In that 9 year span, I would help unload NU tickets at the bar for people who
wanted to sell. This was when I first started buying and selling tickets, and
enjoying making my customers happy.
My friends at Huskers Illustrated suggested I put an ad in their magazine to try and help
out of town Nebraska fans. This is how your Big Red Connection started.
My prices are set by dividing the number of tickets divided by total money paid.
I'll add $25-$35, depending on the game, and that's what I charge. I buy very few
tickets at face value, and I don't buy bad seats. If I tell you I have tickets, I
will have them at the quoted price.
Thanks,
Bob |
